Experienced Auditor - Luxembourg

Grant Thornton is currently seeking for an Experienced Auditor, based in Mauritius, to start as soon as possible and work closely with audit teams located in Luxembourg.

Main mission

As an Experienced Auditor, you will work closely with audit teams located in Luxembourg, and under the coordination of a supervisor based in Mauritius, to deliver high-quality engagements. Depending on your profile and experience, you will You contribute to audit assignments performed for Luxembourg-based Audit service line teams, with a focus on one of the following Audit service lines: IFRS and /Consolidation, Private Equity, or Professionals of the Financial Sector (PSF). You will identify.  audit issues, contribute to effective client relationships, ensure that Grant Thornton quality standards are consistently met and support junior team members in their development.

Main responsibilities

·       Mentor, supervise, support and train team members on audit process and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews;

·       Runs client engagements from start to finish;

·       Work closely with Luxembourg-based Audit teams to identify and resolve client issues discovered during the audit process, ensuring clear

communication with the Mauritius-based supervisor throughout the engagement;

·       Maintains a good working relationship with clients to enhance client satisfaction and works with client management and staff at all levels to

perform audit services;

·       Proactively interacts with key client management to gather information, resolve audit-related problems, and make recommendations for

business and process improvements;

·       Adheres to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality;

·       Contributes to audit engagements within one of the Luxembourg Audit service line specialisations, namely IFRS and /Consolidation, Private

Equity or PSF;

·       Attends professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.

Main requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree with skills in accounting, finance and management

·       ACCA or ACA to be completed

·       Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in local audit firm member of audit networks

·       Fluent in French and English (any other language is considered an asset);

·       Excellent technical accounting skills with proficiency in ISA and IFRS;

·       Proactivity, rigour and results-oriented;

·       Excellent analytical, organisational, and project management skills;

·       Attention to details and willingness to take on responsibilities inside our team;

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally and proactively interact effectively

with Luxembourg-based teams, clients and a supervisor based in Mauritius; strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset;

·       Motivated to grow and succeed and remain adaptable when facing changes.
