Roles & Responsibilities

• Working with internal users to understand business problems and translate them into product requirements, features, workflows or technical outputs.

• Owning or supporting delivery of defined product features, including requirements, build tasks, testing, documentation and release preparation.

• Building or configuring dashboards, data pipelines, AI workflows, prompt patterns, RAG components, document intelligence processes or automation solutions, depending on track.

• Profiling, preparing, validating and improving data used within internal AI products.

• Preparing product documentation, user guidance, test evidence, release notes and handover materials.

• Supporting product demonstrations, user feedback sessions and adoption activity.

• Managing assigned tasks or workstreams and flagging risks, issues, dependencies and decisions.

• Support requirements gathering, process mapping, user story development and product analysis.

• Support prototype build, testing, validation, documentation and user feedback activity.

• Prepare analysis, dashboards, prompt tests, data quality checks and product artefacts under guidance from leadership.

• Escalate risks relating to data quality, AI output accuracy, privacy, hallucination, unclear ownership or product limitations.

•  Own defined product features or workstreams from requirements through to controlled release.

• Coordinate Senior Consultant activity and review junior outputs where applicable.

• Manage day-to-day internal stakeholders and product users for assigned workstreams.

• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritisation, testing, release readiness and adoption planning.

• Contribute to reusable product assets, product methods, technical documentation and continuous improvement of the internal product delivery approach.

Core competencies and skills

• Senior Consultant: typically 2–4 years in data, analytics, AI, automation, software delivery, business analysis, product delivery or technology consulting.

• Assistant Manager: typically 4–6 years in data, analytics, AI, product delivery, software development, automation, technical consulting or a related field.

• Experience delivering or supporting product features, technical outputs, analytics assets, AI workflows, automation solutions or data products.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured and unstructured data.

• Ability to translate business requirements into clear data, technical, product or testing outputs.

• Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining technical content to non-technical audiences.

• Experience with agile, iterative or product-led delivery is beneficial.

• Awareness of responsible AI, data governance, privacy, model limitations and information security considerations is beneficial.

• Interest in internal product development, reusable assets, AI-enabled workflow and consulting delivery improvement.

Education and Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Product Management or a related field.

• Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language, platform or tool such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Platform (Power Automate and Power Apps), Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent tools.
